Job Title: Systems Engineer
LOCATION:ICT Department at Service Headquarters, Garstang Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3LH.
SALARY: Scale 7 £30,451 - £33,782 rising to a maximum of £37,782 inclusive of a £4,000 market supplement (Market Supplements Policy applies)
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements are available. At the current time the successful postholder must be able to work from home.

The work of the highly-respected ICT team at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has never been more important. In the face of the global pandemic, the small and dedicated team is relied upon to act quickly and efficiently to overcome new challenges and ensure the continued smooth-running and progression of the service’s ICT infrastructure.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Systems Engineer to enhance our work, with a strong focus on emerging security risks and developments.
This exciting role is ideally suited to a Systems Engineer with a background in security, who has the enthusiasm and dedication to take the lead on security issues to expertly advise the team on the latest security best practice and analysis.
Not an essential requirement, but of significant benefit would be experience working with both on premise and cloud-based security standards, including a working knowledge of Cisco firewalls. Candidates should also have an interest in broadening their skills to incorporate a wider set of enterprise solutions.
